International Artist famous for beautiful renditions of Indian Ragas on Sitar
Reshma inherits the gift of musicianship from her family, especially from her father, Tabla maestro and author, Prof Girish Chandra Srivastava. She began her lifelong journey of music at a tender age of six, under the guidance of her father Prof Girish Chandra and Uncle Prof Satish Chandra Srivastava.Her guru, Prof Satish Chandra Srivastava was a disciple of Prof Banwari Lal from Allahabad and the great Pandit Ravi Shankar from Maihar Gharana.
Reshma has a strong international presence through her soulful music and live performances starting from the early 1990s. She has been regularly performing in different European and Middle Eastern Countries such as Holland (The Netherlands), Germany, France, Belgium, Switzerland, Italy, Croatia, Slovenia, Turkey, Greece, Cyprus, Israel and UK.

Workshop
The course participants on the workshop will learn the basics of music, not only for sitar, but also vocal and tabla. It will be a short version of the overall knowledge about our Maharishi Gandharva Veda, concept of a Raga, taal and exercises. There will be a short composition that they might learn as well.
Guests not practicing Transcendental Meditation are most welcome.
